Photo Tips:
Make sure to set your camera to the highest resolution possible.
We recommend that photos be at least 300 dpi, Photos that are taken at a low resolution will look very good on your computer, however, the print quality will be poor.
If you are using an image that needs to be scanned, please make sure that you clean your scanner from any dust and fingerprints. Make sure that you scan your image in at 300 dpi and save as a .jpg file.
We highly recommend using as much natural light as possible, a well lit room or near a window. Natural light or a good lighting source is always best to get a clear and crisp photo. If using a flash, try to ensure that there is other good lighting source in the room to avoid dark shadows and over lighting. When using a flash, try backing away from the subject and using the zoom feature on your camera.
We highly recommend that you use a neutral background. Bright, busy and loud backgrounds will take the focus away from your baby.
When dressing your baby for photos, we recommend that you do not dress in loud, bright patterned clothing, try using solid colors.
Take close ups, as your new baby is the focus of the announcement. Make sure that you get a good focus of your baby, as blurred or out of focus photos can not be sharpened. Photos of sleeping babys` are beautiful too. Don`t be afraid to experiment, take lots of shots, using different positions, full body shots and close ups too. Don`t be afraid to use the zoom!
Remember, relax and have fun while photographing your new baby!
